My group did similar topics, but we did not look at the federal response. I think it is interesting that President Hoover did not get involved in the Great Depression - why not? Would that have helped or worsened the situation? The Great Recession was not as bad, and the government had regulation during that, so maybe the Depression could have benefitted from a more engaged federal response.
