Technology
Years ago the majority of our technology devices never existed. When technology started becoming mainstream everyone was getting involved. People were buying various devices all to fit their need for something new. When computers starting being bought up by the majority of Americans some very lucky individuals realized a central network needed to connect them. This was where the internet started and people were able to connect with each other. Companies started popping up and were all related to the internet and things they made on the internet. The first social media company had the largest stock growth in history and in the end people realized it was over valued. This made the market tank and brought their stock into penny stocks. Since they were profiting from their website people knew they weren't worth much in the stock market. During this technology time period a few individuals were able to cash in on the craze and change our future forever.

I agree, the internet revolutionized the way we communicated with others and really broadened the amount of content we were able to access. In terms of video games, it was mind blowing to be able to play with other people online and not have to have them in the same room as you. You could play with someone far away, and it really led to the expansion of video games and new genres that relied heavily on online multiplayer.
