History of Hugh Hefner
Hugh Hefner is the creator of playboy and its magazines. He raised $8,000 from 45 investors including $2,000 from his mother and brother Keith combined to launch Playboy magazine. He created it in 1953 and its first issue featured Marilyn Monroe. The first issue sold more than 50,000 copies and became an instant sensation for all young adults and men. The logo, the bunny in a tuxedo, was created by Hugh, choosing it for its "humorous sexual connotation" and because the image was "frisky and playful". Overall he was a brilliant businessman who used beautiful women to make lots of money. Now his company, playboy, net worth is 50 million, his house is worth 200 million, and his net worth is 43 million.
