This past week in class we have been watching a film on the music that were in the 80s. I didn't know that the word, "explicit" now is on youtube and has to be on it somewhere when music is inappropriate. I thought it was optional until I saw this CNN film because it had explain and shown why it was. From these artists that we had watched, I had known most of them because of my family. My parents have always listened to the 1980s songs and a little bit later. They have both always listened to it, and when their friends come over they used to always have those songs playing. When I was younger, I never liked the music that they listened to because I wanted to always listen to Taylor Swift. When I grew up, I realized that there was other music out there and Taylor Swift wasn't the only artist. I learned a lot about how the music came to be and how much different the music was then vs. now. In this day in age, we all like different music, it isn't like we all like only one genre while back then there was a few years of people loving only hard rock...etc. I had also learned that MTV was actually a music television show, while now it is called Viacom Media Networks. I don't see much music on this channel anymore because I either see Teen Mom or Teen Wolf on this station now.
